Meet Corrie
I have always been a huge animal lover. Having been brought up on a farm, I was surrounded by all types of animals from an early age. I learned how to care for them and to grow a lot of empathy for them.
After a successful career as senior massage therapist at a premium spa in Christchurch and a background in customer service, I have now pursued my childhood dream to work with animals.
In March 2022, I started volunteering at the SPCA to gain the experience of working with more anxious and stressed animals. Finally in January 2023, I started my grooming journey with Angels Academy in Hei Hei. I have completed 3 grooming blocks with them to be followed with more training next year. I have also passed the proficiency exam in Pet Style Grooming which is the start of the Master Groomers certification. I still go in for experience days with Angels to keep up with my skill. I am also currently learning Cat Grooming at Angels Wigram and go to any seminars that I’m able to, to keep up-skilling and advancing my craft.
In June 2023, I set up my own mobile grooming salon in Christchurch.
I like to work with your dog, giving them the time they need, to ensure they are comfortable and having an enjoyable grooming experience. I find that as I provide a one on one service, this creates a much more stress-less and reaction-free environment and has been fantastic for those more nervous, shy or dog-reactive pets.
